Your GPA cushion is the gap between your current GPA and the minimum your scholarship requires. A positive cushion means you're above the line; a negative one means you're below it.
Cushion = your GPA − required GPA
Aid at stake is your annual award prorated over your remaining semesters — the money you could lose if the scholarship isn't renewed.
Aid at stake = annual award × (semesters remaining ÷ 2)
The verdict thresholds: SAFE means your cushion is at least 0.25 — comfortable breathing room. AT RISK means you're above the line but within 0.25 — one rough semester could drop you. BELOW means you're under the requirement right now.
