The sticker price is what a college publishes; the net price is what you actually pay after free money is subtracted. Net annual cost equals tuition and fees plus room and board plus books and supplies, minus scholarships and grants (money you never repay). Multiply by four for the full-degree estimate. A school with a higher sticker price can end up cheaper if it offers more aid — so compare net prices, never stickers.
